Sometimes being an Austin Wedding Photographer takes you on a drive to crazy places like College Station. On one of the last days of 2016, blessed with decent weather and amazing people, I got to shoot my last wedding of the year.
Lexie and David started their relationship as friends, but they ended this past year as husband and wife. They didn’t want to do a first look, but they did exchange letters… it was a sweet moment.
A full Catholic mass, it was fun to watch David as he couldn’t keep his eyes off of his bride.
We took some time between the ceremony and the reception to run across the highway to the nearby park. David drove their get away car across to the park. It was hysterical to see Lexie try and fit her dress into the car. The car made quite an amazing addition to the pictures of this bride and groom.
Lexie commented that because it was a full mass, the back of her dress was as important as the front of the dress. Well, the back of her dress was AMAZING!
The reception was highlighted by all of the fantastic homemade baked goodies made by the groom’s mom. Cinnamon buns, kolaches, and sugar cookies… Yum!
Simi, my second shooter and I, both UT grads, were a little out-numbered by all of the Aggies at this wedding, but they treated us well.
